"They call Los Angeles the city of Angels". It's also what they call the filming location for The Big Lebowski.
We don't want to know how, but Walter can get us a toe. By 3pm with green nail polish on it. There are ways.
Please Note - This coffee shop is now closed for buisness, however the building still stands. You can see the inside layout through the windows as this location is rented out for use in movies.
This filming location was also in:

Lingonberry Pancakes House [ Map ]Address: Dinah's Original Pancake & Chicken House, 6521 S Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, Los Angeles, California, USA
This very short scene shows the Nihilist's sitting in a diner ordering Lingonberry Pancakes and Pigs in a Blanket. It's also the scene where we learn Walter was right about the toe.
The house The Dude lives in, that Jackie Treehorn's thugs accost The Dude and where a baby Dude is conceived is in Venice, California. But remember, this is a private residence man! Do not disturb the people who live here

"Here man, take the ringer". As the dude pulls up to pick Walter up for hand off Walter shooves the Dude out of the way so he can drive and hands the Dude the ringer (aka, his dirty undies).
The Wooden Bridge [ Map ]Address: Holser Canyon Road, North East of Piru, California, USA
This is one location you definitely need a car to visit. Located on the far north side of the Los Angeles area is the wooden bridge where The Dude (Jeff Bridges) and Walter (John Goodman) make the "handoff" to the Nihilists. This bridge in real life isn't wooden, they just laid down some wooden planks down across the bridge for the film. It's worth noting in the film they actually drive North to South so to drive the route they did, go over the bridge then come back on yourself.
