Welcome to Movie Locations Guide - your guide to real life locations from the movies.

Back in 2005 I was on vacation in New York where I literally stumped upon a real life movie star! This star was like no other though. They didn't have any lines in the movie, but the movie wouldn't of been the same without them. It was the firestation that Ray, Peter and Egon bought in one of my favourite movies, Ghostbusters.

I was star struck. This was as big to me as meeting Bill Murry, Dan Aykroyd or the late Harold Ramis themselves. From that point on, I knew I wanted to visit as many filming locations as I possibly could. While on that vacation I fulfilled a life long dream. I took the train to Philadelphia, put Gonna Fly Now on my iPod, cranked the volume to 10, and ran up the steps outside Philadelphia Museum of Art in Philadelphia just like Rocky Balboa (even doing the fist pump pose at the top!)

When I returned I set about created this website. I wanted to share with other movie fans the experience I had visiting my favourite filming locations.
